Vendor/Customer Business Analyst


Position Description

Provide a leadership role for the State in developing and executing a plan to:

  • Cleanse vendor data
  • Propose and execute plan to refine processes and develop internal controls
  • Propose and execute plan to add and maintain vendor data within the Master Vendor Table
  • Ongoing data steward, vendor/customer data maintenance role
  • Optimize the wvOASIS vendor/customer data and the process for maintaining the data going forward

Work with vendor and customer subject matter experts both within the State Auditor’s Office and WV Enterprise Resource Planning Board, as well as the various stakeholder agencies e.g. the Department of Administration Purchasing and Finance Divisions, State Auditor’s Office Audit, e-Pay, and Purchase Card Divisions, and State Treasurer’s Cash Management Division.

Collaborate with technical and functional staff on activities relating to the wvOASIS Vendor Customer table and Vendor Self Service (VSS) portal, including testing, training, and increasing utilization.

Specific job requirements include researching the application for solutions to vendor data and maintenance issues, working with the stakeholders and consultants to develop, implement, and administer processes to address existing data issues and to ensure that the issues do not re-occur. Individual is expected to learn other areas of wvOASIS Financial and assist in other projects, assignments as needed.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Desired person should have a minimum of one-year experience as a wvOASIS user. This experience must be in the management or use of wvOASIS procurement or accounts payable. Experience and understanding with the accounts receivable within wvOASIS and purchase card wvOASIS processes are preferred but not required.

  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to organize, conduct, and document meetings.
  • Ability to use wvOASIS Business Intelligence (Reporting) is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of IRS forms e.g. W-9, 1099, and 1042 and their processing is desired
